Kamen Rider MY-TH Revealed as 8th Reiwa Rider

The original Kamen Rider began airing its first episode on April 3, 1971. On April 3, marking the franchise’s 55th anniversary, the “Kamen Rider 55th Anniversary Presentation” was held in Tokyo, where the new series Kamen Rider MY-TH was unveiled as the eighth installment of the Reiwa era.

According to Toei producer Takabe, the title is stylized as “MY-TH” in English, carrying meanings such as myth, legend, and fabricated story. He explained that the title reflects the narrative concept: a lone hero who becomes a beacon of hope, carving open the future and eventually evolving into a myth-like existence.

Logo Hints at an Unexpected Motif

Another key hint lies in the logo design. It features a triangular shape with a small opening and incorporates yellow elements. While Kamen Rider traditionally began as a hero powered by a grasshopper, the latest installment will once again introduce an unexpected motif, centering on a small creature that unleashes overwhelming power in battle.

During the photo session, four figures appeared together: Kamen Rider No.1, the origin of the series, and the latest hero Kamen Rider Zeztz, along with representatives from Ishimori Productions and Toei.
