Kamen Rider New Movie Project Confirmed for 55th Anniversary: 11 Heisei Era Titles Announced as Candidates with New Logo Revealed

Kamen Rider celebrates its 55th anniversary in 2026, and a major new theatrical project titled the Kamen Rider Movie Project has officially been announced. A brand new Kamen Rider movie is now in production, although the final title has not yet been revealed. Eleven Heisei era Kamen Rider series have been selected as candidates, and fans are invited to vote on which title should be adapted into a movie via the official Kamen Rider website. All details will be unveiled at noon on the 27th.

Throughout its milestone anniversaries, Kamen Rider has consistently launched commemorative projects befitting each landmark year. For the 45th anniversary, the 2016 film Kamen Rider 1 was produced, starring Hiroshi Fujioka reprising his iconic role as Takeshi Hongo and directed by Osamu Kaneda.

For the 50th anniversary, three major projects were announced. These included Shin Kamen Rider in 2023, written and directed by Hideaki Anno, the Amazon Prime Video series Kamen Rider BLACK SUN released in 2022 starring Hidetoshi Nishijima and Tomoya Nakamura, and FUUTO PI, an animated sequel to Kamen Rider W, which premiered in 2022 on U-NEXT and Tokyo MX.

In celebration of the 55th anniversary in 2026, the Kamen Rider Movie Project has now begun in earnest. Eleven Heisei era Kamen Rider titles have been selected as candidates, each accompanied by a newly revealed logo featuring an original subtitle. The candidate works are as follows.
