Kyoto Animation’s “Sparks of Tomorrow” Premieres July 5 and Streams on Netflix Worldwide — New Cast and PV Revealed

Kyoto Animation’s new original anime Sparks of Tomorrow (JP: 二十世紀電氣目録-ユーレカ・エヴリカ-) will begin airing on July 5 across TOKYO MX and other networks, with a global exclusive release on Netflix. A new key visual and second promotional video have also been unveiled, along with additional cast announcements.

The latest information was revealed during the special stage event for the series held at AnimeJapan 2026 BLUE STAGE on March 29. The event featured appearances by Yuma Uchida, Sora Amamiya, Koki Uchiyama, Daisuke Ono, Shunsuke Takeuchi, and Minako Kotobuki, who introduced new details about the production.

The second PV, running approximately two minutes and twenty seconds, highlights the core mystery surrounding the “20th Century Electrical Catalog.” It showcases the characters confronting their past regrets while moving toward the future, delivering a dynamic and emotionally charged preview that builds anticipation for the upcoming broadcast.



Additional cast members were also announced. You Taichi will voice Suzu Harashima, Natsumi Kawaida will play Keito Okura, Kazuki Ura will voice Yajiro Yagura, and Daisuke Hirakawa will portray Izo Masubuchi.

The opening theme song, titled “Eureka Everyca,” features lyrics written by multi singer Luna Goami, with composition by Hitomi Koto, who is also responsible for the series’ soundtrack. The ending theme will be performed by Ginger Root, a project led by a South California based multi instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and visual artist.

The second key visual depicts Kihachi, Inako, Yosuke, Seiroku, Kengo, and Noriko in a dreamlike setting, presenting a vivid and emotionally rich contrast to the first visual. Kihachi and Inako are shown holding the “20th Century Electrical Catalog (Eureka Evrika),” their determined expressions suggesting a challenge that lies ahead.

Ahead of its broadcast and streaming release, the anime will hold world premiere screenings in four countries. Screenings will take place sequentially from late May to early July in the United Kingdom, Thailand, Japan, and North America. The series has also been officially selected for the TV Films category of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026, marking its global expansion.

The Japan premiere will be held on June 14 at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, featuring a two part screening event with a post screening stage greeting by Yuma Uchida, Sora Amamiya, and director Minoru Ota. Live viewing will also be available in eight theaters nationwide. Ticket pre orders began on March 29 via Lawson Ticket.

In addition, the AnimeJapan 2026 stage event is currently available for a limited time via ABEMA and the Pony Canyon anime YouTube channel.
