On the 19th, the Ikebukuro Animation Philharmonic Executive Committee announced that singer Yoko Takahashi, who was scheduled to guest perform at the concert on July 10, would not be appearing. Yoko Takahashi also updated her official X account, stating, "There was an incident that I could not face as an artist," and expressed her intention to "prioritize the feelings of those who deeply love anime."

Regarding the images used for the first concert flyer and website, we received numerous opinions stating, "Isn't this image AI-generated? Isn't it inappropriate to use AI-generated images for an anime-specific orchestra?"

In light of this situation, we received an opinion from singer Yoko Takahashi, who was scheduled to guest perform, that it is undesirable to appear under such circumstances, considering her involvement in anime music. Furthermore, recognizing the difference in stance towards this kind of creativity, she reached the conclusion that it would be difficult to participate in this event. Consequently, she decided not to appear in our first concert.

We are ashamed of our lack of awareness regarding the issues surrounding AI-generated images, despite being an orchestra that claims to love anime.

Additionally, we realized that we failed to consider the sentiments of those who love anime and its related creative works, and we deeply regret our actions.

We sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience caused to many people due to our mishandling.

We have temporarily replaced the images used for the flyer and website with works commissioned from an illustrator. We will continue to prepare for the concert using this visual.

For those who have already purchased tickets and wish to cancel and receive a refund, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and ask you to contact the executive committee.
