Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Shares Date Episode Illustration Featuring Fern and Stark, Fans Call It “Precious”

The official X account of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End released a new illustration depicting Fern and Stark during a date scene. The visual quickly gained attention across social media.

In the illustration, Fern is dressed stylishly in a purple dress, a contrast to her usual appearance, while Stark appears in his casual outfit. Fans reacted enthusiastically, posting comments such as “So precious,” “When will these two finally get together? Still, I kind of want them to keep this distance,” and “This is from their date scene. So cute.” Others also expressed hopes that the meat bun featured during the date might be recreated as a menu item in a future collaboration café.

About Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a fantasy manga currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. It tells an “after the journey” story following a party of heroes who have already defeated the Demon King.

The story centers on Frieren, an elven mage, who embarks on a new journey alongside new companions after the death of the hero. With its unique timeline set after the Demon King’s defeat, the series has captivated readers through emotional drama, memorable dialogue, magical and sword-based battles, and moments of humor.

The series won the Grand Prize at the Manga Taisho Awards 2021, and the original manga has surpassed 35 million copies in circulation.

The first season of the anime, which aired from September 2023 to March 2024, concluded with Frieren, Fern, and Stark continuing their journey toward Aureole, the resting place of souls. The second season continues the story from Chapter 61 of Volume 7 of the original manga.
