Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 37 (S2 EP9) Story & Preview Cuts Released: Searching for Himmel’s Memoir Amid a Dragon Threat

The story and preview images for Episode 9 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (JP: 葬送のフリーレン, Sousou no Frieren) Season 2, which marks Episode 37 overall, have been released. This episode will air 60 minutes later than usual on Saturday, March 20 at 11:00 PM JST, and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 37 Story

A village refuses to abandon its homeland despite being plagued by the threat of a dragon swarm. Meanwhile, a port town sits by the vast Lake Koridor. As Frieren and her companions continue their journey, they visit a variety of locations.

At Lake Koridor, they attempt to board a ferry but cannot afford the fare. The boatman offers them a deal instead. In exchange, they must find “Himmel’s memoir,” said to rest within a monastery on a nearby island.

After parting ways with Genau and the others, Frieren’s group travels through a village under attack by dangerous dragons and across the expansive lake. Taking on the request to cover their ferry fare, they set out in search of “Himmel’s memoir.” But is the memoir truly authentic?

In contrast to last week’s battle-focused episode, this installment returns to what defines Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, portraying moments that gently touch the human heart.

About Frieren

Serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, Frieren Beyond Journey’s End is a “post-adventure fantasy” that depicts what happens after the hero’s party defeats the Demon King. The story follows Frieren, an elven mage, as she embarks on a new journey with new companions in a world after the hero’s death.
