Nanjiro's Sister Karin Echizen Appears! The New Prince of Tennis to End in 5 Chapters
The creator of the popular manga series The Prince of Tennis, Takeshi Konomi, updated his official X account on the 21st to share a major announcement regarding the ongoing serialization of The New Prince of Tennis. Konomi revealed that the series is now only five chapters away from its final conclusion. Along with this news, he announced that the upcoming latest chapter will feature the debut of Karin Echizen, the younger sister of Ryoma's father, the legendary "Samurai" Nanjiro Echizen.

The Prince of Tennis follows the journey of middle school protagonist Ryoma Echizen as he grows alongside his teammates. The original series ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2008. The second series, The New Prince of Tennis, began its serialization in Jump Square in 2009. The story moved to the global stage, where Ryoma and other representative members from various countries engage in intense matches during the World Cup.
While Konomi had previously hinted that the series was approaching its end, he provided specific details in his latest post. He stated that the appearance of Karin Echizen will lead to the revelation of a shocking truth. Additionally, the brotherly showdown between Ryoga and Ryoma is reaching its climax. The upcoming issue will feature a massive three-chapter release. Fans are encouraged to look forward to the final five chapters of the series. The next issue of Jump Square is scheduled for release on April 3.
