Matsurika Kanriden TV Anime Set for January 2027, Rie Takahashi and Nobunaga Shimazaki Lead Cast; Voice Teaser Visual PV Released

The television anime Matsurika Kanriden (JP: 茉莉花官吏伝) is set to air in January 2027. Alongside the announcement, the main staff and cast were revealed, and a teaser visual PV featuring newly recorded voice lines by the cast has been released.

The anime will be led by chief director Takeshi Mori, with Yuichi Nakazawa serving as director and Manami Inose handling character design. For the main cast, Rie Takahashi will voice Matsurika Ko, while Nobunaga Shimazaki will voice Hakuyo. Both actors reprise their roles from the voice drama and promotional PVs of the original novel.

The teaser visual depicts the protagonist, court lady Matsurika, standing in a palace corridor where jasmine petals drift through the air, alongside Hakuyo, the emperor of the Hakuro Kingdom.

A teaser PV using this visual has also been released, allowing viewers to hear newly recorded voice performances by the cast.

Special Collaboration Among Three B’s-LOG Bunko Anime Adaptations

A special collaboration between three anime adaptations from B’s-LOG Bunko has also been announced. The participating titles are the TV anime The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom, Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta, and Matsurika Kanriden.

To celebrate the collaboration, a newly illustrated special visual featuring the heroines Tiara Rose, Pia, and Matsurika holding bouquets has been released. As the first collaboration project, special collaboration bookmarks will be distributed at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28 and 29.

Story Introduction

Matsurika Ko works as a court lady in the imperial palace of the Hakuro Kingdom. Her special talent is her extraordinary memory. She can perfectly recall the location of items stored in the warehouse or the titles and contents of books after seeing them only once.

One day, Matsurika is assigned to act as a stand-in practice partner for a marriage meeting with a noble heir. When she arrives at the appointed location, she unexpectedly finds Hakuyo, the handsome and accomplished emperor of the Hakuro Kingdom, known for both his intelligence and martial ability.

Intrigued by Matsurika’s exceptional memory, Hakuyo begins to take an interest in her and summons her frequently. What begins as the life of a seemingly minor court attendant gradually becomes the journey of a young woman who grows into a source of hope for her country.
