ONE PIECE HEROINES Anime Announced for July 2026, Spotlighting Nami and Other Iconic Heroines
The new anime project ONE PIECE HEROINES will air on Fuji TV and its affiliate networks starting July 5, 2026, at 11:15 p.m., bringing a fresh perspective to the world of ONE PIECE by focusing on its heroines.

A New ONE PIECE Anime Focused on Heroines
ONE PIECE HEROINES is based on the novel series ONE PIECE novel HEROINES, which was serialized in ONE PIECE magazine. The anime adapts one of the stories from the series, episode: NAMI, and places female characters from ONE PIECE at the center of the narrative. Through their stories, the anime explores each heroine’s individuality and personal identity.

In addition to Nami, the story will also feature Nico Robin and include original anime only elements, expanding the narrative beyond the source material.
The director is Yu Kamatani, known for Looking for Magical Doremi and as the series director of Koisuru One Piece. Character design is handled by Takashi Kojima, who previously worked as character designer and animation director on The Colors Within and character designer on MONSTERS. The screenplay is written by Momoka Toyoda, who served as the scriptwriter for ONE PIECE FAN LETTER and series composer for ONE PIECE Special Edited Version: Fish Man Island Arc.

The Legacy of ONE PIECE
Originally launched in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997, ONE PIECE is a legendary ocean adventure series centered on the great treasure known as the One Piece, left behind by the Pirate King Gol D. Roger. The story follows Monkey D. Luffy, a boy who gains rubber like abilities after eating the Devil Fruit Gum Gum Fruit, as he gathers companions to form the Straw Hat Pirates and sets out to become the Pirate King.
The ONE PIECE manga has surpassed 510 million copies in circulation worldwide. Its television anime has been airing continuously since 1999, and the 2022 theatrical film ONE PIECE FILM RED became a cultural phenomenon, earning over 20.34 billion yen at the Japanese box office. Meanwhile, the Elbaph Arc of the ONE PIECE TV anime is scheduled to begin airing in April.
