Koji Seo Launches New Manga Just Two Months After Previous Series Ends: Island Set Romantic Comedy Ano Shima no Umine sou

Manga artist Koji Seo has begun a new serialization titled Ano Shima no Umine sou in Weekly Shonen Magazine Issue 7, released on the 14th. The new series arrives only two months after the final chapter of his previous hit manga, The Cafe Terrace and Its Goddesses, which concluded in November 2025.

Ano Shima no Umine sou is described as a romantic comedy that brings together island life, a traditional house filled with beautiful women, treasure hunting, and every element of youthful male fantasy. For this project, Seo and the editorial team even conducted on site research on a remote island, highlighting the level of commitment behind this new work.

In addition, the final volume of The Cafe Terrace and Its Goddesses, Volume 22, will be released on January 16. To commemorate both the series finale and the launch of Seo’s new serialization, large scale posters announcing the conclusion and new project will be displayed at Gokokuji Station, the nearest station to Kodansha’s headquarters.
