The television anime Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs, commonly known as Mobuseka, will return with its second season in 2026. The sequel was originally announced in 2022, and fans have now finally received confirmation of its broadcast window. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual has been released.

The series follows Leon, who is reincarnated as a background character in an otome game world. Using his knowledge of the game, he rises through society in a classic underdog fantasy narrative. In Season 1, Leon earns recognition for achievements such as discovering hidden treasure and repelling the principality fleet, eventually being promoted to the rank of viscount.

In Season 2, Leon receives orders to join the personal guard of Marie, who has become a saint, and sets off for the island of the elves. The newly released teaser visual depicts Leon in unfamiliar attire, fighting while protecting Marie, who was once his adversary. Surrounded by drifting gun smoke, the visual raises anticipation over what kind of enemy he is confronting.

Additionally, the production has revealed newly redesigned character visuals. As the first wave, setting illustrations and profiles for Leon, Olivia, Angelica, and Marie have been unveiled.

The former fiancée of Julius and the daughter of a ducal family second only to the royal household in power. She originally played the villainess role who bullied the heroine in the game, but has since formed strong bonds with Leon and Olivia. She is honest, proud, and has zero tolerance for injustice.
