The World Trigger REBOOT project marks a major new development for the World Trigger anime franchise, introducing a refreshed direction while maintaining the essence of Daisuke Ashihara’s original work.

World Trigger, created by Ashihara, is an ongoing sci fi action manga serialized in Jump SQ. The story follows the battles between Border, the National Defense Agency, and the invaders from another dimension known as Neighbors.

The anime adaptation began in 2014 on TV Asahi, continuing through its third season in 2021, all produced by Toei Animation.

In the newly revealed fifteen second teaser, the Border alert sound announcing a Gate occurrence echoes through the darkness. The World Trigger logo appears alongside the word “REBOOT,” signaling the start of a new initiative.

The scene then shifts to the tagline “The Gate from another world opens again.” The video closes with the message “REBOOT Project Begins,” clearly indicating that the anime series is preparing for a significant evolution.

On December 1, the official X account posted a cryptic teaser featuring ads displayed at various train stations whose names include the character “門” (“gate”), generating intense speculation among fans. The announcement of this new project now clarifies the intention behind that mysterious campaign.
