The new Detective Conan movie Detective Conan Highway Fallen Angel (tentative title, JP: ハイウェイの堕天使, Highway no Datenshi) will be released on April 10, 2026. The teaser visual centers on Chihaya Hagiwara riding a police motorcycle alongside Conan, accompanied by the tagline “Do not fall off, boy.” Chihaya, making her first movie appearance, is a member of the Kanagawa Traffic Mobile Unit and was once called a “goddess of the wind” by Ran upon their first meeting. Also depicted behind her are Masumi Sera, a high school detective who shares a passion for motorcycles, and Heavy-Kanagawa Police Inspector Jugo Yokomizo, who is often overwhelmed by Chihaya’s energy. Above them, the visual shows Chihaya’s late younger brother Kenji Hagiwara and his close friend Jinpei Matsuda, raising questions about how these two fallen officers connect to the case and what the “fallen angel” between them signifies.

In addition, Chihaya Hagiwara’s role will now be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, succeeding the late Atsuko Tanaka. When the teaser video was released at the end of August, it received more than 300,000 likes on X, marking the highest engagement ever for a teaser post in the series and signaling strong anticipation for her theatrical debut.
Comment from Miyuki Sawashiro
I am Miyuki Sawashiro, and I will be voicing Chihaya Hagiwara. I loved Atsuko Tanaka very much, and there is never a day that I do not remember her.
After carefully reading Aoyama-sensei’s original work, I wanted to do everything I could so that fans would also love Chihaya as a voiced character. I even tried to obtain a motorcycle license. I could not lift a fallen bike and was unable to enroll, so I am starting with strength training instead. I look forward to meeting you all in the TV series and in the movie. If you can look forward to it as well, nothing would make me happier. Thank you.
