The TV anime adaptation of Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ has been confirmed and will begin airing on TBS and other networks starting in April 2026. Along with the announcement, the first visual, promotional video, and cast and staff details have been released.

Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ follows Natsuki Haibara, a protagonist who failed his attempt at a stylish high school debut and spent his youth in a muted, gray state. One day, he suddenly time-leaps from his fourth year of university back to just before entering high school. Given a chance to redo a youth filled with regrets, Natsuki launches his personal Rainbow Youth Project, determined to rewrite his gray adolescence into a vibrant one.

Using the knowledge gained from his previous timeline, he joins the popular group at the top of the class hierarchy and rapidly grows closer to Hikari Hoshimiya, the beautiful girl he once had an unrequited crush on. The story portrays Natsuki’s second attempt at high school life, filled not only with joyful moments but also the uniquely bitter experiences of adolescence, in this “New Game Plus–style” romantic school comedy.

Natsuki Haibara is voiced by Yuto Uemura, while the role of Hikari Hoshimiya is played by Kanon Takao. The anime is produced by Studio Comet.
