The ongoing preliminary results for DRAGON BALL THE ONE, the first worldwide character popularity poll for the manga phenomenon Dragon Ball, have been released. Voting began at noon on the twentieth. In the current standings for the first stage, Goku leads in first place, followed by Vegeta in second, Gohan in third, Vegito in fourth, and Piccolo in fifth.

Trunks (Future) holds sixth place, Bardock seventh, Cell eighth, Android 18 ninth, and Frieza tenth. Krillin follows closely in eleventh place. The first stage is accepting votes until eleven fifty nine a.m. on the twenty fourth. A total of two hundred twelve characters from the Dragon Ball manga are eligible, and fans can vote once per day from the special website during the voting period not only in Japan but also from all around the world.

The poll consists of four survival style stages. As each stage progresses, the number of eligible characters is reduced. After each stage, a revival round will be held on X, where one character will be brought back into the competition and advance to the next stage. The Final Stage, in which voters choose the number one character from among the top twenty one finalists, will be open from noon on December seventeenth to eleven fifty nine a.m. on the twenty fourth.

The final results are scheduled to be announced on January twenty fourth, twenty twenty six at noon during a special program streamed on the official Dragon Ball YouTube channel.

Dragon Ball originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for about ten and a half years from nineteen eighty four and remains one of Japan’s most iconic and influential manga series. It has surpassed two hundred sixty million copies in circulation worldwide and continues to captivate fans through its extensive media mix including anime, films, and games.
