The first episode of the TV anime "Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World" Season 3 (Re:Zero Season 3), set to air in October, will be a 90-minute special, equivalent to four regular episodes. Additionally, there will be an advance screening limited to two weeks in theaters nationwide starting August 30th.

A second key visual has also been released. Set in the watergate city of Pristella, this long visual showcases the Emilia camp facing off against the other royal candidate camps and the Witch Cult's Sin Archbishops in the largest battle in Re
's history.

Furthermore, a full trailer for the 90-minute special premiere episode, which will be screened in theaters from August 30th, has been released. The trailer introduces new character Sirius Romanée-Conti, the Witch Cult's Sin Archbishop of Wrath, voiced by Chika Anzai, and also features the opening theme song "Reweave" by Konomi Suzuki for the first time.

Other new characters include Joshua Juukulius, voiced by Shoya Ishige, Kiritaka Muse, voiced by Koutaro Nishiyama, and Heinkel Astrea, voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda.

"Re:Zero" is based on the light novel series by Tappei Nagatsuki, with illustrations by Shinichirou Otsuka, published by KADOKAWA under the MF Bunko J imprint. The story follows Subaru Natsuki, a boy who is suddenly summoned to another world on his way home from a convenience store. In this new world where he has nothing to rely on, Subaru gains the power to return to a previous point in time by dying, a power he calls "Return by Death." He uses this power to fight against despair and protect those dear to him, as well as to reclaim the irreplaceable moments he has lost.

The first season aired from April to September 2016, and the second season aired from July to September 2020 and from January to March 2021.
