The television anime Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling is set to premiere in January 2026, and its second key visual has now been released.

Unlike the first key visual, which featured an adorable scene of a peaceful forest, the newly revealed artwork shifts dramatically in tone. It depicts Ilusia, the baby dragon, and Miria standing in a burning forest, alongside the first appearance of Ilusia’s evolved form, the Plague Dragon, creating an intense and foreboding atmosphere. Additional new characters will also be revealed as the series approaches broadcast.

Introduction to the Story

When I woke up, I found myself in an unfamiliar forest.

Apparently, this is some kind of fantasy world I know nothing about.

All around me lurk terrifying monsters, and when I looked at myself… hey, hold on!
