The upcoming TV anime You Can't Be in a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! has released its first main PV and key visual, along with new details including additional cast members and the ending theme artist.

Based on the popular romantic comedy currently serialized on Magazine Pocket, the story follows a bittersweet and frustrating love among childhood friends who struggle to be honest about their feelings.

The newly announced cast includes Takehiro Urao as the protagonist Yonosuke Sakai, known by his nickname “(JP:えーゆー, E Yu),” a boy constantly caught up in the whirlwind of his childhood friends’ emotions. The ending theme, titled “Amanojaku,” will be performed by Hikari Kodama, a singer-songwriter known for opening themes from Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 and The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses Season 2.

The first PV and key visual bring together all the main characters (Yonosuke Sakai, Shio Minamo, Akari Hiodoshi, Runa Tsukimi, and Haru Hinata) offering a glimpse into Yonosuke’s chaotic daily life as he wavers between love and friendship. The footage teases the beginning of what promises to be a “troublesome love story.”
