"Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc" is based on episodes from volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, in which Tanjiro and his comrades undergo further training from the corps' highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashiras, to grow stronger. "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, which has become a hit with over 150 million copies of the comics sold.

Set in the Taisho era, the story revolves around a young boy, Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to avenge his family killed by demons and to restore his demon-transformed sister, Nezuko, back to human.
