ABEMA Anime Festival Day 1 Report: Voice Actors from My Hero Academia, Blue Lock, and Chainsaw Man Gather on Stage

ABEMA is currently hosting the anime celebration “ABEMA Anime Festival 2025 supported by Comic Cmoa” from September 20 to 23. On the 20th, special stages were held for seven titles: My Hero Academia, Blue Lock, Tougen Anki, SHIBUYA ANIME BASE, Chainsaw Man, Kamiina Botan, Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana, and You and I Are Polar Opposites. Each stage featured special talks with star-studded voice actors.

My Hero Academia Stage

Opening the festival was My Hero Academia. Daiki Yamashita (voice of Izuku Midoriya) and Ayane Sakura (voice of Ochaco Uraraka) appeared on stage after participating in the morning’s “My Hero Academia: Gather! Good Manners Heroes!” event, part of the Shibuya Good Manners Project. Reflecting on the long-running series as it approaches its final chapter, they spoke passionately about the upcoming “FINAL SEASON” airing next month.

As part of a special program held before the broadcast, the Ultimate Scene Ranking poll highlighted memorable character moments. The top three results for Deku and Uraraka were revealed with accompanying footage. Yamashita and Sakura shared personal memories and insights from those scenes, allowing both the cast and audience to relive the journey of the series together.

The Blue Lock stage featured Kazuki Ura (Yoichi Isagi), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Seishiro Nagi), Shugo Nakamura (Gin Gagamaru), and Eiji Mikami (Yo Hiori). Titled “Blue Lock Broadcasting Room Ego Fest Special Supported by Blue Lock Project: World Champion,” the stage built anticipation for the massive “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” (Ego Fest) scheduled for September 28.

The cast discussed highlights, ambitions, and the past and future of the series in a dense talk session. They also took part in a program called “Let’s Plan the Best Fan Service!” where each actor devised unique fan service performances. The ideas were judged by audience applause, creating lively excitement in the venue.
