The series is based on the popular romantic comedy manga by Aki Akimoto. It follows Marie, a former martial arts prodigy with little expression, and Arthur, the heir of a powerful conglomerate, in a heartwarming romantic comedy. Due to certain circumstances, Marie ends up serving Arthur as a "robot maid," tasked with protecting him from daily assassination attempts while faithfully carrying out her duties. The result is a heartfelt comedy filled with both laughter and tears.

The second PV features Arthur, who dislikes people, Marie, who must never be exposed as human, and a colourful cast of characters surrounding them. It captures the charm of the series, including the unfolding of their love story. The opening theme, "Honto to Uso" by Harucha, can also be heard in the video.

Cast Comment

Bridget (CV: Saima Nakano):

- What do you find appealing about this series?
The romantic mind games between Marie and Arthur, who each hold secrets, keep viewers on the edge of their seats every episode! Their comedic misunderstandings are a joy to watch, and the purity of their feelings becomes more heart-wrenching with each episode. The supporting characters are also full of personality, bringing vibrancy to the entire story. It's a charming series that combines the thrill of romance and the sparkle of shoujo manga with psychological battles and action.

- What are your thoughts on playing Bridget?
She is the president of Arthur’s fan club, officially called the "Society for Wanting to Be Looked at Like Trash by Arthur." She views Arthur’s cold stares as "rewards" and reveres everything about him. I poured myself fully into cherishing Arthur’s charm! I’ve always wanted to play a bright, nosebleed-prone young lady, so playing Bridget was incredibly fun. As a member of Arthur’s fan club, I hope to bring humor to the series.

Isabel (CV: Yo Taichi)

- What do you find appealing about this series?
From laugh-out-loud, fast-paced gags to heart-pounding, romantic moments that make you grin uncontrollably, the story is packed with different kinds of "fun." I think that's what makes it most appealing.

- What are your thoughts on playing Isabel?
Isabel is a girl who, despite her cute appearance, harbors an unexpected power. I will perform with my own engine running at full throttle so that I don’t get left behind by her energy.

Toby (CV: Shuntaro Hara)

-What do you find appealing about this series?
Although it’s set in a dangerous world, the characters give their all, making the story warm and even humorous at times. The desire to protect someone important overflows from the characters, making you want to root for the two leads.

- What are your thoughts on playing Toby?
Toby is a quirky upperclassman who’s always chasing chickens. He’s also kind, hardworking, and somewhat dependable. This is actually my first time being entrusted with a character role in an anime, so I want to give it my all to express his wonderful qualities.

Old Man Carl (CV: Kappei Yamaguchi)

- What do you find appealing about this series?
Since the main cast has spoken extensively about the appeal, I'll offer a different perspective. Working with director Junji Nishimura again after 25 years to develop the character of Carl, who was expanded from the original, was delightful and enjoyable.

- What are your thoughts on playing Old Man Carl?
I wondered if I could pull off such a laid-back old man. At the same time, though, I was happy to be given such a role. The result was a relaxed performance style that fits the character well.

Old Lady Charlotte (CV: Rieko Takahashi)

- What do you find appealing about this series?
A human pretending to be a robot maid in service to a difficult man who hates people—it's such a fascinating premise! I also love how each character expresses love in their own unique way, which adds to the series’ charm.

- What are your thoughts on playing Old Lady Charlotte?
Since she doesn't appear in the original manga, I wanted to enjoy playing her. The premise and characters are so interesting that I read the manga straight through in one sitting. I’m excited to see how she will come to life in the anime, both in voice and animation.
