You and Idol Pretty Cure Episode 24 Story & Preview Stills Released: What Will Tanakhan Do on His Day Off?

Episode 24 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (Kimi to Idol Prett Cure, キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. This Episode will air on Sunday, July 20, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 24 Story

Tanakhan (a.k.a. Tanaka) starts the morning like always: rising at his usual time, brewing coffee, and enjoying a peaceful routine. But that moment of bliss is short-lived. Purirun (voiced by Yoshino Nanjo) rushes off to Café Glitter, with Meroron (voiced by Miharu Hanai) quickly chasing after.

Upon arriving at Café Glitter, Tanakhan finds Nana (voiced by Minami Takahashi) and Kokoro (voiced by Natsumi Takamori), who have just started their summer break. When Uta (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) and the others learn that Tanakhan hasn’t taken a summer break in years since arriving in Hanamichi Town, they insist he take the day off while they cover for him.

Uta helps out at the café, Nana patrols the town, and Kokoro, along with Purirun and Meroron, begins sorting through the fan letters and gifts addressed to the Idol Pretty Cure unit “Zukyoon Kiss.” Meanwhile, Tanakhan embarks on his unexpected day off…

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
