Honda has announced that the Honda Koraidon, a life-sized future mobility inspired by Koraidon from Pokémon Scarlet, will be displayed at the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship “Coca-Cola” Suzuka 8 Hours. Visitors can see the vehicle at the Honda RACING Gallery on August 1–2, with its first running demonstration scheduled on August 3 during the event’s pre-race ceremony.

Display Schedule and Running Demo

The Honda Koraidon will be available for public viewing at the Honda RACING Gallery in Suzuka Circuit Park, Mie Prefecture, from August 1 to August 2, 2025. The display times are set for 8:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August 1, and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 2. On August 3, before the start of the Suzuka 8 Hours final race, the Honda Koraidon will make its debut running demonstration on the Suzuka Circuit track from 11:00 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.

Development of Honda Koraidon

The Honda Koraidon project was developed under the supervision of The Pokémon Company. The model accurately reflects Koraidon’s size and appearance from the 2022 Nintendo Switch game Pokémon Scarlet. It was first showcased at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in March 2025. Approximately 40 volunteers from Honda’s motorcycle and power products divisions, as well as the Advanced Technology Research Institute, collaborated on the project. The team utilized Honda’s long-standing expertise in vehicle design, simulation, and balance control technology.

Concept and Inspiration

The Honda Koraidon Project began in 2024, inspired by Toyota’s creation of the Toyota Miraidon, which carried the message “serious efforts of adults inspire children’s dreams.” Honda aimed to create a Koraidon model that reflects its own engineering philosophy. In Pokémon Scarlet, Koraidon is a legendary Pokémon that transforms into various forms—such as quadrupedal walking, sprinting, swimming, and gliding—as the story progresses. The Honda Koraidon mobility captures these characteristics, translating the Pokémon’s fictional traits into a real-world demonstration.
