What Demon Slayer Announced
In connection with the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc: Part 1 – Akaza Returns, promotional advertisements began appearing across central Tokyo on July 14. These efforts are intended to raise awareness of the film’s upcoming theatrical debut in Japan on July 18. Two prominent locations have been selected: JR Shinjuku Station and JR Ikebukuro Station.
At JR Shinjuku Station’s East Exit, the exterior ground-level entrance has been transformed into what is called the “Kimetsu Gate.” The installation mimics the film’s setting, Infinity Castle, and includes character visuals and a quote from the series antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji that reads, “You are going to hell.” This particular ad is unique to this location. Additional poster panels have also been placed within the underground corridors of the station.

Details of the Shinjuku and Ikebukuro Ads
The “Kimetsu Gate” installation at JR Shinjuku Station is located at the East Exit, with additional posters fully lining the underground pathways of the station. This immersive setting reflects the dark atmosphere of Infinity Castle and ties directly to the narrative of the upcoming film.
At JR Ikebukuro Station, a large-scale display called the “Kimetsu WALL” is featured in the area outside the north ticket gates. The wall spans approximately 29 meters and includes full-sized posters of major characters from the series. This is the first time a single work has occupied all available poster slots in this corridor for an entire month. The ad will be on display until August 17.

These advertising efforts are part of the lead-up to the July 18 release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc: Part 1 – Akaza Returns.
The film is a direct continuation from the ending of the Hashira Training Arc, as seen in the recent anime broadcast. Subsequent arcs include the Entertainment District Arc (December 2021), Swordsmith Village Arc (April 2023), and Hashira Training Arc (May–June 2024).
