After capturing the hearts of classic and new Gundam fans alike, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is set to air its long-awaited final episode on June 24. To mark the occasion, the official X (formerly Twitter) account has released a haunting new scene still—featuring protagonist Shuji wearing a menacing expression.

In a heartfelt message, the production team wrote:
“Thanks to everyone’s incredible support, we’ve made it this far! Thank you so, so much! While it's sad to say goodbye, we hope you'll stay with Mathieu, Nyanne, and Shuji until the very end.”

This original Gundam series has made waves on social media since its debut, earning praise for its homage-filled narrative and dramatic character arcs. Directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (known for his work on Evangelion) and co-produced by Studio Khara and Sunrise, GQuuuuuuX seamlessly blends psychological depth with Gundam’s traditional mecha warfare and political tension.

Fans can expect emotional closure and potential surprises—including the reappearance of Char Aznable, hinted at in the newly released character setting images.

About Gundam GQuuuuuuX

Set in a space colony, the series follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student living a peaceful life until she meets Nyaan, a girl displaced by war. This encounter thrusts Amate into the underground world of Clumbattles, illegal mobile suit duels.

Taking on the entry name “Machu,” Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX mobile suit and soon finds herself in relentless combat. As the story unfolds, she crosses paths with a mysterious Gundam—pursued by both the Space Forces and the police—and its enigmatic pilot, Shuji Ito, signaling the dawn of a new era.

This latest Gundam installment is a collaborative project between Studio Khara (known for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise (the studio behind all previous Gundam works). Kazuya Tsurumaki, known for directing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, helms the project.

The series is written by Yoji Enokido, with mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita. The voice cast includes:
