Episode 10 of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX titled “Io Magnuesso Lockdown” aired and began streaming on June 10. Along with it, the preview for episode 11, titled “Alphacide,” was released. A preview scene featuring a certain familiar character has also been unveiled. (Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers up to episode 10.)

The episode 11 preview shows MACHU’s GQuuuuuuX finally confronting Nyaan’s Giffred inside Yomagn'tho.

Even though both MACHU (Amate Yuzuriha) and Nyaan want to see Shuji Ito again, they are forced to fight due to their circumstances. Will this be a story of emotional misalignment between the two despite their shared longing?

While Nyaan already knows MACHU is piloting the GQuuuuuuX, as of episode 10, it seems MACHU has yet to realize that the Giffred pilot is Nyaan. Will MACHU go into battle with that knowledge, or will they end up hurting each other in ignorance?

There are many mysteries surrounding the upcoming episode: the meaning behind the title “Alphacide,” the unfamiliar new form of the GQuuuuuuX, and what became of Shuji, who briefly appears at the end of the trailer.

Additionally, a newly revealed scene shows a glimpse of what appears to be the shoulder of Char Aznable’s iconic red outfit. This matches the previously released visual of Char Aznable on the official X (formerly Twitter) account.

While it has been stated that Char does not exist in the world of GQuuuuuuX as of episode 10, there is at least one character introduced so far who is suspected to actually be Char in disguise.

Is this character truly Char Aznable? If so, how did he come to exist in the world of GQuuuuuuX, and what role will he play in the ongoing war?

Episode 11 is scheduled to broadcast on Tuesday, June 17, at 24:29 (technically June 18 at 00:29).

About Gundam GQuuuuuuX

Set in a space colony, the series follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student living a peaceful life until she meets Nyaan, a girl displaced by war. This encounter thrusts Amate into the underground world of Clumbattles, illegal mobile suit duels.

Taking on the entry name “Machu,” Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX mobile suit and soon finds herself in relentless combat. As the story unfolds, she crosses paths with a mysterious Gundam—pursued by both the Space Forces and the police—and its enigmatic pilot, Shuji Ito, signaling the dawn of a new era.

This latest Gundam installment is a collaborative project between Studio Khara (known for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise (the studio behind all previous Gundam works). Kazuya Tsurumaki, known for directing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, helms the project.

The series is written by Yoji Enokido, with mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita. The voice cast includes:
