Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback – First 12 Minutes to Air on June 6 TV Special as Film Surpasses ¥13.3B ($93M) in Box Office Revenue

The 28th theatrical entry in the Detective Conan anime film series, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, will broadcast its first 12 minutes on national television as part of the June 6 (Friday Road Show) special. The announcement comes in celebration of the film’s phenomenal box office success, having already surpassed 9.21 million viewers and ¥13.3 billion ($93 million) in revenue as of June 1.



To mark the occasion, a special message from the film’s lead character, Kogoro Mouri, was released:

“I, the great detective Kogoro Mouri, star as the wide-awake ‘Awakened Kogoro’ in Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback. Thanks to your amazing support, the film is a huge hit! Record-Breaking Start for the Latest Conan Film

Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback opened in Japanese theaters on April 18, 2025, attracting 690,000 moviegoers and earning ¥1.05 billion ($7.3 million) on its first day—109% of its predecessor’s performance (The Million-dollar Pentagram).

The franchise has continued to set new records with each installment:
2023: Black Iron Submarine grossed ¥13.88 billion ($97.1 million)
2024: The Million-dollar Pentagram grossed ¥15.8 billion ($110.5 million)
2025: One-eyed Flashback became the fastest film in series history to surpass ¥10 billion ($69.9 million), achieving the milestone in just 19 days (compared to 24 days for Black Iron Submarine and 22 days for Million-dollar Pentagram).
