Accompanying the reveal was a handwritten letter from the original manga author, Eiichiro Oda, in which he expressed his satisfaction with the final result.

“After much trial and error by the entire staff, the day has finally come for you to see him! His form, fur, movements, facial expressions, voice, lighting, and even how gravity affects him — everything has been carefully crafted by a team of top-tier professionals,” Oda wrote, giving his full endorsement of the live-action Chopper.

Based on the globally popular manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha), ONE PIECE follows the high-seas adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates as they search for the legendary treasure left behind by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. Season 2 will take fans further into the unpredictable Grand Line.
In Season 1, Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) set sail to become the Pirate King and fulfill a promise to Red-Haired Shanks. Along the way, he formed a trusted crew including Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar).
Season 2 will cover key story arcs including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island — all leading toward the Alabasta Kingdom.
Chopper, the Straw Hat Pirates’ doctor, finally appears in the new footage. True to his iconic look, he’s fluffy with a blue nose and wears his signature hat. His voice and facial capture are provided by Mikaela Hoover (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), bringing the beloved reindeer-human hybrid to life.
In the teaser, Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) calls out, “That’s a weird hiding spot! I can see you — come over here!” prompting Chopper to pop out shyly. He introduces himself as “Tony Tony Chopper” and apologizes for not being able to meet fans in person. As he begins to discuss Season 2, he comically tumbles down the stairs, shouting, “Ouch! Doctor!” — only to realize, “Oh, wait… that’s me.”
After the comedic moment, Chopper regains composure and announces, “Season 2 will start streaming in 2026. There’ll be new friends and foes. And I’ll be there too!” While brushing off the crowd’s applause with a playful “Shut up! I don’t need your applause, you jerks — I mean it!” he can't hide his grin and even breaks into his signature dance.
As Chopper himself confirmed, Season 2 of the live-action ONE PIECE will stream globally on Netflix in 2026.
