The manga Nezumi’s First Love, a brutal yet touching story, has been adapted into a manga music video (MMV) set to the song Mamagoto from the Japanese rock band CreepHyp’s 2024 album Konna Tokoro ni Itanoka Yatto Mitsuketa Yo. This collaboration brings together two emotionally charged works, resulting in a must-watch audiovisual experience.

This creative project came to life through the shared resonance between the manga’s creator, Riku Oseto, a longtime fan of CreepHyp, and Ozaki Sekaikan, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, who was deeply moved by the story. Their mutual admiration led to a collaboration that highlights the emotional synergy between the music and the manga.

Nezumi’s First Love, ranked 9th in the 2025 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (Men’s Edition) published by Takarajimasha, has surpassed 1 million copies sold. The story follows Nezumi, a girl raised as an assassin by a shadowy organization, and Ao, an ordinary young man. Their fateful encounter evolves into a poignant love story that intertwines innocent romance with intense violence—a tale both cruel and heartrending.

Creator Riku Oseto Reflects on the Collaboration
