The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime has unveiled a brand-new birthday illustration to celebrate the birthday of Kanao Tsuyuri, whose birthday falls on May 19. The post features a smiling, mini-character version of Kanao, drawn by ufotable specially for the occasion.

In a follow-up announcement, ufotable also confirmed the release of limited-edition birthday merchandise. The collection includes a 3D acrylic stand replicating the new illustration, a wagashi (traditional Japanese confectionery) bag charm, and two additional items themed around Kanao’s birthday. A total of four new goods are available exclusively for this celebration.

About Demon Slayer: A Record-Breaking Global Phenomenon

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, selling over 150 million copies. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister Nezuko back into a human after their family is slaughtered by demons.

The anime adaptation began in April 2019 with Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc. This was followed by:

The upcoming Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy will pick up directly after the final episode of the Hashira Training Arc, continuing the epic journey of Tanjiro and his comrades as they confront the ultimate enemy in a climactic showdown.
