Popular manga artist Souichirou Yamamoto, known for "Teasing Master Takagi-san," will launch a new series in the August issue of "Gessan" (Shogakukan), released on July 12, as announced in the magazine's June issue released today, May 11.

The title has not yet been announced, and the announcement illustration in the June issue depicts three girls in school uniforms.

Yamamoto's signature work, "Teasing Master Takagi-san," began serialization in 2013 and concluded in "Gessan" in October 2023. This new series marks his return to the magazine after nine months.

Additionally, the June issue's cover features "Teasing Master Takagi-san," celebrating the release of its live-action movie starring Mei Nagano and Fumiya Takahashi, which opens on May 31. The cover depicts adult versions of Takagi-san and Nishikata.

"Teasing Master Takagi-san" is a youthful romantic comedy depicting the daily interactions of middle schooler Nishikata, who is shy about love, and Takagi-san, his next-seat neighbor at school who teases him. Despite Nishikata's schemes to tease her back, Takagi-san always sees through them, making their exchanges popular.

The series has been adapted into a TV anime with the first season airing from January to March 2018, the second from July to September 2019, and the third from January to March 2022. An animated film was released in June 2022, a live-action drama aired in March, and a live-action film premiered on May 31.
