Oh! great Celebrates 30 Years in Manga with New Illustrations from Past Works and Kaijin Fugeki Tribute
Oh! great, the celebrated manga creator behind Tenjho Tenge and Air Gear, is celebrating his 30th anniversary in manga with a series of brand-new illustrations featured in the issue 24 of Weekly Shonen Magazine, released on May 14.
Oh! great’s 30th anniversary illustration celebrating his manga career
The highlight of the color feature is a commemorative illustration dedicated to his latest serialized manga, Kaijin Fugeki, which he describes as the culmination of his career. Along with the artwork, he shared a heartfelt comment expressing his artistic philosophy and ongoing dialogue with readers.
"To me, constantly talking with my own heart—asking whether what I’m drawing is truly what I want to draw, and whether it’s what I should be drawing right now—is the essence of communicating with readers who live in the same era. I will continue this dialogue across the pages."
Kaijin Fugeki special illustration card to be distributed at select stores
As part of the celebration, Oh! great also drew new illustrations for his previous serialized works:
Air Gear (2002, Weekly Shonen Magazine)
