Episode 13 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. Episode 13 will air on Sunday, May 4, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 13 Story

In this episode, which airs on the 4th, Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) notices her classmate Wakaba Shinbashi on her way to school. However, Wakaba is too captivated by Shota, a popular third-year volleyball ace, to notice her.

During homeroom, the class discusses the upcoming interclass sports tournament and decides which sports they will participate in. Uta and Nana Aokaze (voiced by Minami Takahashi) sign up for the girls’ volleyball team, which Wakaba also joins.

The following afternoon, while practicing for the tournament, Wakaba reveals that she has a crush on Shota—and that he might be transferring schools soon. She makes up her mind: if their team wins the tournament, she will confess her feelings to him.

On the day of the tournament, Uta and her teammates fight their way toward victory...

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
