The AI character interaction app “Soyogi Soyogi AI (Soyogi Fractal Project),” produced by renowned voice actor Yuki Kaji, will officially shut down at the end of August 2025. The service, launched in July 2024, allowed users to talk with the character “Soyogi Soyogi” at any time via voice chat.

The app featured immersive functions such as personalized wake-up alarms with customizable voice lines and even a “sleep together” mode where Soyogi would whisper users to sleep. Despite these unique offerings, the app will be discontinued just one year after its release.

The official announcement stated:
“Soyogi Soyogi AI will terminate its service at the end of August 2025. We deeply appreciate everyone who created detailed profiles and enjoyed conversations with Soyogi over the past year.”

The project team further explained the reasons behind the closure:
“We regret to announce that Soyogi Soyogi AI will be discontinued, even though many users actively enjoyed the service. The decision stems from a fundamental divergence in the ideal vision between the app’s operating company and our creative team regarding how to engage with AI and our users.”

The team also emphasized their commitment to future projects:
“We will continue striving to provide entertaining experiences that users can enjoy with peace of mind and affection. The app will remain available until the end of August, and we are currently planning to migrate the service to a successor app.”
