A Reverse Import of Japan Expo Paris
Titled "Entry Co., Ltd. presents Japan Expo Paris in Osaka 2025" (JEPO), the event is a reverse import of the Paris-born "Japan Expo" (organized by SEFA EVENT), which has been promoting Japanese culture abroad for 25 years. Now, for the first time, it brings its global prestige back to Japan.
Live Performances and Cultural Showcases
At the EXPO Arena "Matsuri," music artists will deliver live performances, while at EXPO Messe "WASSE," a vibrant array of content awaits. Visitors can enjoy anime, games, cosplay, cuisine, traditional crafts, martial arts, and more through stage shows and exhibition booths.
Opening Ceremony Kicks Off with Sword Fighting Performance
The opening ceremony, held on April 26 at "WASSE," featured an energetic sword fighting performance. Ocia Ukoh, the event’s executive committee chairman, expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, "This event is imbued with appreciation from Japan to all those who have shared the beauty of Japanese culture with the world from Paris."
The venue was alive with the sounds of martial arts demonstrations such as kendo, with spirited shouts and the striking of bamboo swords echoing through the space. Booths showcased a variety of anime, games, and traditional Japanese craftsmanship, attracting both pop culture enthusiasts and fans of traditional arts.
