Rohan Kishibe Returns After 3 Years in a Brand-New One-Shot

Hirohiko Araki’s beloved manga series Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is making a long-awaited comeback. After a three-year hiatus, a brand-new 51-page one-shot will be published in the May issue of Ultra Jump, released on April 18.

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is a spin-off of the popular JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, focusing on the eccentric manga artist Rohan Kishibe, a resident of the fictional town of Morioh. The series follows Rohan as he travels to various locations, encountering bizarre phenomena and supernatural events, which he records as part of his “strange experience chronicles.”

This new one-shot marks the first new installment in three years and adds a fresh tale to Rohan’s collection of uncanny encounters. Titled “Bruschetta”, the story follows Rohan on a research trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. While staying at a villa, he hears a mysterious noise echoing through the house. As he investigates the source, he finds himself caught up in a strange and eerie phenomenon.

In addition to Araki’s latest work, the May issue of Ultra Jump also features the debut of manga artist Sui Ishida, known for Tokyo Ghoul and Choujin X. Ishida presents the latest installment in his popular one-shot series “DUCKWEED,” set in the world of the boys’ opera simulation game Jack Jeanne. This new story explores characters and narratives not covered in the original game.
