New details have been announced for the theatrical release of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," the first completely new work in the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" series in nearly 20 years, set to premiere on January 26.

Scene photos from the cooking scenes in the movie have been revealed. These include dishes such as "HAROMUSUBI" and "CUP SALAD," as well as homemade meals Lacus prepared for Kira, "Shinn's Buffet Plate" which Shinn picked at the Foundation Kingdom's ball, and meals that Ingrit served to Lacus, all enriching the storyline with lavish culinary scenes. The "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" series, which began broadcasting in October 2002 with a total of 50 episodes, was the first Gundam TV series of the 21st century. The narrative revolves around humanity divided into genetically enhanced humans (Coordinators) and natural humans (Naturals), represented by the military factions ZAFT and the Earth Alliance, respectively. It follows the protagonist, Coordinator Kira Yamato, as he deals with the anguish and growth that come from this war. The series captured a broad fan base, including a significant number of female viewers, and reached a peak viewership of 8.0%. It also spurred a second Gundam model kit boom among elementary school students, marking it as a "new generation Gundam series." Following this, the sequel "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" aired from October 2004, surpassing its predecessor with a peak viewership of 8.2% and exceeding 4 million in series total package sales, making it a phenomenon that swept across Japan beyond just a TV anime series. The completely new movie "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" continues the story after "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY," unfolding a new chapter in a world where the conflict persists, featuring Kira, Athrun, Shinn, and others.
