A fresh batch of scene stills and the official trailer for the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Theatrical Compilation—set to premiere on May 30—has been released. The images highlight intense action sequences and emotional moments featuring young Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto during their days at Jujutsu High.

The theatrical compilation revisits the second season of the anime, which originally aired in July 2023, condensing the five-episode Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc into a restructured cinematic experience. The film captures the pivotal events from Gojo and Geto’s past, which shaped their future roles in the overarching Jujutsu Kaisen story.

Tatsuya Kitani’s “Ao no Sumika (Acoustic ver.)” Sets the Tone

The trailer features the newly arranged acoustic version of the theme song “Ao no Sumika” by Tatsuya Kitani, originally the opening theme of the TV series. Kitani shared his thoughts on the rearranged version:

“Ao no Sumika was originally crafted to represent two opposing aspects of youth through the word ‘blue.’ Its musical tone reflected that balance, which led to reactions like ‘It’s refreshing’ and ‘It’s bittersweet.’ I’ve now given it a new expression, hoping to match the emotional depth of this theatrical version. The film’s entire audio track has been remixed for 5.1 channel surround sound, with some songs re-arranged specifically for the theater experience.
