The highly anticipated second season of the anime My Dress-Up Darling will begin airing in July on TOKYO MX and other networks. Alongside this announcement, a new “Memories PV” has been released, showcasing fresh cuts from Season 2 while reflecting on the journey from Season 1.

Additionally, two beloved projects from Season 1 will return. First is That Main Character Voice Actor Sews: Season 2, where Shoya Ishige (voice of Wakana Gojo) once again tries his hand at costume-making. Also returning is the fan-favorite radio show My Dress-Up Darling Radio: Season 2. Further details on both projects will be announced in due course.

Based on the manga serialized in Young Gangan from January 2018 to March 2025, the story follows Wakana Gojo, a high school student aiming to become a Kashirashi, a craftsman who creates faces for traditional Hina dolls. Though diligent and focused, Gojo struggles to connect with his peers and is unfamiliar with modern trends. In contrast, Marin Kitagawa is a stylish and popular classmate who seems to live in an entirely different world. A surprising encounter leads them to share a secret and bond over a mutual interest in cosplay, launching a heartwarming romantic comedy.

The manga has surpassed 12 million copies in circulation. The first anime season aired from January to March 2022, followed by a live-action drama that ran from October to December 2024.

Season 2 Introduction

Marin and Gojo’s bond continues to deepen through cosplay. There are still so many characters they want to bring to life and costumes to create. As they interact more with classmates and meet new fellow cosplayers, their world begins to expand in exciting ways.
