Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of the popular manga "HUNTER×HUNTER," updated his X (social media) on the 3rd. He started updating in May this year for the first time in about 7 months since October 2, 2023.

On X, Togashi released manuscripts of "H×H" featuring mysterious lines and the numbers 8 and 9, showcasing the progress of his work.

"HUNTER×HUNTER" ended its weekly serialization with chapter 400, published in the December 26, 2022 issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump." The editorial department explained, "After discussions with Mr. Togashi regarding his health among other considerations, it has been decided that future chapters of 'HUNTER×HUNTER' will be delivered in a format other than weekly serialization."

They continued, "Mr. Togashi is continuing to write the story, and the editorial department will continue to support him until the completion of 'HUNTER×HUNTER.' Details on the publication schedule and method will be announced in future issues of 'Weekly Shonen Jump.' Please continue to support 'HUNTER×HUNTER.'"

In a March 9, 2023 SNS update, Togashi reported, "No. 401 completed. Although the production system isn't solid yet, I'm glad that I'm gradually spending more time at my desk." At that time, the future publication format had not been decided yet.

Since its debut in 1998, "HUNTER×HUNTER" has followed young protagonist Gon and his friends, including Killua, on their adventures. Currently, the "Dark Continent Arc" (Succession War Arc) is unfolding, depicting the characters, including Kurapika and members of the Phantom Troupe, aboard a ship heading to the unexplored continent. Serialization had resumed from chapter 391 on October 24, 2022, after a hiatus of nearly four years.
