The highly anticipated final chapter of the TRIGUN series, TRIGUN STARGAZE, has been officially announced for a 2026 release. Alongside this revelation, a stunning new teaser visual illustrated by Kiyotaka Oshiyama has been unveiled, capturing the essence of Vash the Stampede’s fateful journey. Comments from director Masako Sato and voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka have also been released.

The upcoming anime TRIGUN STARGAZE is set to conclude the TRIGUN saga, following the events depicted in TRIGUN STAMPEDE. The story takes place two and a half years after the devastating Lost July incident, which left an entire town in ruins. Set on the desert planet of No Man’s Land, the final chapter will portray the climactic showdown between the pacifist gunslinger Vash the Stampede and his brother, Millions Knives, who seeks the destruction of humanity.

The anime will be helmed by Masako Sato, a former Studio Ghibli animator known for directing Haikyuu!! TO THE TOP and Anima Yell!. The series composition and script will be handled by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, whose notable works include That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Shangri-La Frontier.

The newly revealed teaser visual showcases Vash the Stampede with a striking tagline: "Live and suffer (JP: Ikite, Kurushime)." His posture and gaze suggest the weight of his fate, hinting at the emotional depth of the final chapter. The visual is an original illustration by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who is also responsible for the character designs in this project. Oshiyama is well known for his work on Look Back and his mechanical designs for the FLCL series.
