The latest installment in the Kindaichi Case Files series, Kindaichi Papa no Jikenbo (Kindaichi Papa's Case Files), has officially launched, with Chapter 1 now available on the manga app Comic DAYS (Kodansha).

In this new story, Hajime Kindaichi, once a brilliant high school detective, is now married to his childhood friend, Miyuki Nanase, and has become a father to their son, Tsukumo. While running his newly established Kindaichi Detective Agency, he balances solving mysteries with parenting and household chores.

Despite their marriage, Hajime and Miyuki continue to call each other by their familiar nicknames—"Hajime-chan" and "Miyuki"—just as they always have.

Kindaichi Papa no Jikenbo – A New Detective Story Begins

The series follows Hajime Kindaichi after he leaves his office job to dedicate more time to raising his son. While handling small cases, major mysteries inevitably find their way to him, as expected of a legendary detective.

The manga debuted in January 2025 on Comic DAYS and continues the legacy of the Kindaichi Case Files series.
