Bringing Char Aznable to Life

The event featured voice actors Shimba Tsuchiya (Shuji Ito), Shinji Kawada (Challia Bull), Seiichiro Yamashita (Xavier Olivette), Akane Fujita (Comoli Harcourt), and Yuki Shin (Char Aznable), with MC duties handled by Neki Matsuzawa.

During the event, Shin performed Char's famous line:
"Now, let’s see how good that Feddie mobile suit really is"

Reflecting on his role, Shin shared his thoughts:
"I knew it was an iconic line. Since I was portraying Char, I had to consider how to balance my own image of the character. Throughout the recording process, I kept thinking about how to merge Char’s essence with my own interpretation."

He also mentioned another line that stood out to him:
"Personally, I found ‘Gundam, launching’ to be a powerful moment. I had to deliver it in a way that felt true to Char while keeping it controlled. The director advised me not to ‘overdo it,’ so I carefully considered how much intensity to put into the line."
