Following Gojo’s sealing, Yaga became a target of the Jujutsu higher-ups, who had long suspected that he possessed the knowledge to create completely autonomous Cursed Corpses like Panda. Already viewed as a potential threat, Yaga was accused of orchestrating and executing the Shibuya Incident and was subsequently detained.

Later, Gakuganji questioned Yaga in an attempt to extract the secret behind Panda’s creation. Since Yaga refused to reveal this information, the Jujutsu authorities decided to keep him imprisoned indefinitely.

While in solitary confinement, Yaga learned that Panda had been captured. Determined to save him, Yaga attempted to escape but was confronted by Gakuganji. Despite his efforts, Yaga was ultimately defeated. Before taking his last breath, he finally revealed the secret of his Cursed Corpse creation to Gakuganji, ending with the words:

"This is my curse upon you."
