YAIBA Returns After 31 Years: New Anime Premieres April 5
A brand-new TV anime adaptation of YAIBA, titled Shin Samurai-den YAIBA, is set to premiere on April 5. It will air every Saturday at 5:30 PM on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks. This marks the first new YAIBA anime in 31 years since the series last aired in 1994. The broadcast will be followed by Detective Conan at 6:00 PM, creating a one-hour anime block known as the "Gosho Aoyama Hour."

On the January 8 episode of Detective Conan, a special "YAIBA x Conan" crossover video was unveiled. In this clip, both series’ protagonists, voiced by Minami Takayama, come together for a unique interaction. The highlight is YAIBA boldly declaring, "I look like a samurai! And I think like a samurai too!!" to which Conan, taken aback, responds, "Wait… you’re really a samurai…?"

The collaboration continues with new crossover videos scheduled for release at the end of Detective Conan broadcasts:
January 15: "Sayaka x Ran"
