How Blue Lock Redefined Soccer Manga
Currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, Blue Lock follows Japan’s national team’s quest to develop an egotistical, game-changing striker after their defeat in the FIFA World Cup. The country launches a radical training program, gathering 300 high school forwards, where 299 will be eliminated to find the one striker who will revolutionize Japanese soccer.
The Blue Lock manga has surpassed 40 million copies in circulation, with its anime adaptation airing its first season from October 2022 to March 2023. Season 2 aired from October to December 2024.
