Undead Unluck Concludes, Marking the End of a 5-Year Run in Weekly Shonen Jump
The manga Undead Unluck (commonly referred to as Andera), written by Yoshifumi Tozuka, concluded in Issue 9 of Weekly Shonen Jump released today, January 27. This marks the end of its 5-year serialization, which began in January 2020.

The final chapter spans 26 pages with a center-color spread. Volume 25 of the manga will be released on February 4, followed by the final two volumes—Volumes 26 and 27—and the third novel adaptation in April.
The story of Undead Unluck revolves around Andy, a man with an immortal body, and Fuuko Izumo, a girl whose touch brings "unluck" to anyone she encounters. Together, they join the Union as Andy seeks to achieve his ultimate goal: "Greatest Death." Their journey is filled with battles against formidable enemies and the unraveling of the world's mysteries.

This popular series won the top spot in the "2020 Next Manga Awards" in the comics category. Fans have praised its unique abilities known as "Negators," intricate foreshadowing, and expansive storytelling. An anime adaptation aired from October 2023 to March 2024, with new anime content set to premiere this winter.

Notably, several other major series in Weekly Shonen Jump have recently concluded. Last week, Mission: Yozakura Family ended after a 5.5-year run, while My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen wrapped up in August and September 2024, respectively, bringing an era of popular serialized works to a close.
