On January 22, Ghibli Park in Aichi announced that legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki's cherished Citroën 2CV will be on display at the Ghibli Warehouse starting January 29.

The Citroën 2CV, a globally renowned French classic, was a beloved possession of the Miyazaki family. Ghibli Park director Goro Miyazaki shared, "Although our family no longer uses the car, it holds countless memories. We hope it will be cherished at Ghibli Park for years to come."

An Exclusive Original Story Exhibit

Alongside the vehicle, an original exhibit titled Hayao Miyazaki’s 2CV Story will also debut. The display recounts Miyazaki's experience of purchasing his first car to transport his child to nursery school, and how he grew to adore the Citroën 2CV over time.

This heartfelt narrative offers a glimpse into the personal life of the master animator, intertwining his love for family and automobiles with the artistry he is known for.
