Ghibli Park to Screen "Mei and the Baby Cat Bus" and Launch Limited-Time Pork Kakuni Sandwich
Tickets for Ghibli Park in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture, located within the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, will go on sale tomorrow, October 10, at 2 PM for December entry. The park consists of five areas: Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke Village, and Valley of Witches, and all entry is reservation-based (closed on Tuesdays).
At Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, the Orion Theater will begin screening Mei and the Baby Cat Bus (directed by Hayao Miyazaki) from December 14 until January 31, 2025. Currently, Takara Sagashi is being shown until October 31, followed by The Day I Bought a Star from November 1 to December 1.
Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse's "Transcontinental Flight Café" and the "Rotunda Kazegaoka" in the North Entrance Plaza of the Expo Park will introduce new menu items.
The Big Stroll Guide illustrated by Goro Miyazaki, available for download on the official website, has also been updated. The guide includes maps of Ghibli Park and Expo Park, as well as recommended outfits and items to bring for visitors.
Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse: Transcontinental Flight Café
The Transcontinental Flight Café offers a menu inspired by meals pilots would eat with one hand during long flights. The café’s limited-time sandwich menu, themed after China, features pork kakuni (braised pork belly), known for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and savory flavor, served with a soft-boiled egg. The sandwich is priced at 1,250 yen and will be available until December 28.
The Transcontinental Flight Café is open from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays and 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekends and holidays (last orders at 4:30 PM). Items may sell out.
Rotunda Kazegaoka
A new parfait menu served in fishbowl-shaped containers is now available. The parfait comes in two varieties: seasonal fruit and strawberry, featuring smooth cream with a pudding inside. Each fishbowl parfait is priced at 1,400 yen. Rotunda Kazegaoka is open to visitors without a ticket and operates from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM (last orders at 5:30 PM). Items may sell out.
