A New Creative Direction

While the previous Demon Slayer stage plays were written and directed by Kenichi Suemitsu, this installment introduces Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi as the new scriptwriter and director. Shunsuke Wada returns to compose the music, promising a fresh yet faithful take on the beloved series.

The stage play will depict the intense battle as Tanjiro, Nezuko, and their allies defend the Swordsmith Village from the Upper Rank demons’ devastating attack.

About the Demon Slayer Phenomenon

Based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (2016–2020), Demon Slayer has sold over 150 million copies worldwide. The story, set in the Taisho era, follows Tanjiro Kamado’s journey to avenge his family and cure his demon-turned sister Nezuko.

The franchise has seen tremendous success, from the 2019 anime series to the record-breaking Mugen Train film, and multiple TV adaptations leading to the Pillar Training Arc and the upcoming Infinity Castle Arc.
